GREEN GLOBE RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION

The GREEN GLOBE RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION, registered on May 20, 2007, under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in Barpeta, Assam, is dedicated to rural development, with a strong emphasis on sanitation and drinking water initiatives. The organization is led by President Chitra Das, Secretary Mahat Ch Kalita, and Treasurer Sanjib Kumar Pathak. Their notable achievements include the construction of low-cost toilets for BPL families and the distribution of water filters. They actively conduct awareness campaigns on sanitation, education, and health in rural areas, utilizing methods like distributing booklets, leaflets, and organizing community meetings to promote hygiene practices and discourage open defecation.
